The UpOnly exchange is now live!
UpOnly exchange is one of the first Injective relayers to go public. UpOnly exchange is powered by Genesis Block Ventures (GBV), a prominent investment firm.
Injective was formed with the intention of far surpassing the capabilities of every single DEX in the market today. The ability to deploy new frontend relayers enables unique possibilities while helping to showcase the customizability and decentralized nature of the protocol as a whole.

DISCLAIMER: The name UpOnly wasn’t chosen by Injective and it is not hosted by Injective. There are multiple exchange relayers with the one created by Injective being called “Injective Relayer”.
What is an exchange relayer?
On a very basic level, an exchange relayer provides a user interface for individuals to interact with Injective Protocol. Each relayer provides new interfaces and functionalities. So, a relayer could offer new designs or new trading tools.
Relayers can also be region specific, so for instance a relayer can be written entirely in Japanese in order to localize it for the Japanese market. By doing so, relayers can comply with local laws and other parameters that make Injective more accessible to new audiences globally.
UpOnly exchange aims to provide a sleek and familiar interface for decentralized derivatives trading. By utilizing the relayer infrastructure, projects can focus on the user experience and adding innovative functionality, and lean on the advanced backend technology from Injective, UpOnly is able to leverage unique Injective features such as its lighting fast transaction speeds and zero gas fee structure.
In the coming weeks, UpOnly will also be deploying a number of new features in order to enhance the trading experience further for users.
“We are excited to be backing the UpOnly Exchange as well as the Injective Protocol. GBV sees this as the future of decentralized finance, with multiple front ends customized for different target markets. The team at Injective have made it easy for UpOnly to spin up their take of the crypto trading experience and bring it to market quickly. We look forward to working more with the two teams!” said GBV Co-founder, Leslie Tam.
GBV is a renowned crypto fund and brings with it a trove of trading experience. They have worked to create an interface that is suitable for traders and will look to further bolster the interface for traders globally.
“GBV has played a pivotal role in Injective’s journey thus far as we look to bring seamless accessibility to decentralized derivatives. UpOnly will be a boon for the Injective ecosystem as a whole as it brings forth a unique outlook as to how users can interact with our sophisticated backend,” said Injective CEO, Eric Chen.
In the coming weeks and months, the Injective community will continue to collaborate closely towards a new era of decentralized trading. Anyone will be able to deploy a wide array of innovative solutions that are able to take advantage of Injective’s unique offerings.
Whether users want to build new orderbook exchanges, AMMs, simple swap interfaces, or advanced trading setups, it’s all made possible by Injective. We welcome everyone to take part in building the future of finance alongside us.
