The August Community Update: INJ 2.0 Launch, Helix Institutional, and Mito Early Access Entry!

This month, there were foundational developments, collaborations and upgrades within the Injective ecosystem, creating ripple effects throughout the community and beyond.

First, Helix Institutional was launched in the month of August, marking the start of a brand new trading portal custom-built for financial organizations. This can help increase both institutional capital inflow and on-chain activity within the Injective ecosystem.

Second, Injective released its largest tokenomics upgrade yet with INJ 2.0. With this upgrade, all dApps built on Injective can now contribute to the INJ burn auction and with no limit.

These large strides were also fortified with the many new integrations and upgrades from dApps on Injective, including, but not limited to, Mito opening the first RWA vault and accepting the first few waves of early access users, Trust Wallet integrating with Injective and Side Protocol also integrating to unlock a seamless mesh liquidity network.

Leveraging the SPACE ID 3.0 infrastructure, Injective is launching the first-ever ever native .inj domains! This marks the advent of a decentralized naming system, poised to seamlessly integrate with the expansive Injective ecosystem and its diverse range of dApps.

In the month of August, numerous quests on Galxe were conducted, offering participants an opportunity to secure exclusive access for pre-registering their unique domain names. Helix Institutional Launch & Market Listings

Following the successful launch of the Helix Swap feature in July, which empowers users to effortlessly swap assets with a single click, Helix initiated the inaugural Helix Swap Trading Competition. This competition was designed to provide users with a firsthand experience of the swiftest swaps, enriched by deep liquidity and the most competitive fees in the market.

• Black Panther, the asset management protocol on Injective, wrapped up its “Injective in Borderland” testnet challenge and announced the Airdrop Phase One.
• Elixir started a Galxe campaign featuring Injective to unlock special perks for holders. As Elixir is integrating with Injective to allow anyone to supply liquidity to orderbook pairs and earn incentives via the Open Liquidity Program, campaign participants will have the early access opportunity to pools.
• Astroport deployed limit orders on the Injective mainnet, allowing users to set their desired price to buy or sell.
• NFT gaming projects starting to appear in the Injective ecosystem, such as The InjHallas, which hosts weekly game with rewards.

Chain Updates:

• Injective developer docs have been revamped to include how to launch your very own native token on Injective
• Injective Improvement Proposal 246 has passed, revamping the VIP fee program for exchange dApps on Injective. More institutions and individuals could easily integrate with Injective which in turn can increase long term on-chain activity and growth.
• Injective validator Bware Labs, introduced INJ faucet service on testnet. Anyone can input his/her Injective wallet address, press “Claim” and get testnet INJ tokens.
• Trust Wallet, one of the largest non-custodial wallets with over 60 million users, has integrated the Injective mainnet. Users can access dApps built on Injective with Trust Wallet on desktop or mobile, while also being able to stake and transfer INJ.
• Nabox, a decentralized wallet provider with over 300,000 downloads in the last month alone, has integrated Injective, enabling both native asset transfer and staking.
• Side Protocol has integrated Injective, bringing a novel cross-chain atomic asset exchange into the ecosystem. The integration is currently live on the Injective testnet, enabling a seamless mesh liquidity network.
• A few new validators onboarded to Injective in August. The new additions include Black Panther and Trust Nodes. Users can delegate tokens and check each validator’s status on the Injective Hub.
