Institutional Staking: Copper Integrates INJ

Institutional crypto custody provider Copper has integrated the Injective mainnet this month, unlocking a diverse array of new opportunities for INJ staking.

Copper’s infrastructure provides the underlying architecture for the largest crypto trading institutions. The platform processes more than $50 Billion on a monthly basis and has raised $85M to date from renowned investors such as Target Global and LocalGlobe.

Copper is hyper selective about assets that they add to their staking portal since there is a significant amount of work required to ensure institutional grade capabilities and quality. Currently Copper only supports staking for 13 popular assets such as Helium, Cardano, Polkadot and Algorand.

The Injective Labs team has been working alongside the Copper team for the past few weeks to ensure a seamless integration for the broader community. This involved adding support for the Injective Chain alongside native support for staking which includes the ability for users to stake directly with Injective’s validators from the Copper interface.

How does this integration benefit Injective?

INJ that is currently held as ERC20 tokens on Copper can be bridged over to the Injective mainnet opening up new possibilities for more staking, delegations and decentralized governance
Institutional INJ holders can easily stake their INJ with any of Injective’s validators using the Copper interface
Direct deposit and withdrawal support on Copper is available for Injective assets so future tokens launched on the Injective Chain can enable institutional access for their tokens from day one
